My first time at witangy was amazing we learnt lots of things about Maori. Also we were wandring around places while we were looking at things that were very important. We were allowed to have a tutu. The tutu was actually very fasinating. We had some lunch and then we had to go home. I felt dazelled. The work we did was fantastic.
I am a Year 3 student at Paparore School School in Northland, New Zealand. Mrs Davan is my teacher. My blog is a collection of my work at various stages, across different curriculum areas. Throughout my time at Paparore School I may share draft copies of my work for feedback and feed forward. Other times I will share my final published pieces. I would appreciate any feedback through leaving me a positive, thoughtful, helpful comment. Thank you.

Glowworm caves
On my holiday we drove to The Waitomo glowworm caves.
We walked down lots of stairs into the cave. We were rowing in a boat through the cave.
The cave was very loud from all the water. It sounded like ‘drip drop’. A few drops landed on my head.
The drops were very cold. After the boat ride we climbed out of the boat and then we went to this old cafe
with a huge apple outside. I had Pepsi and my uncle had a huge sandwich. Yes, my auntie and uncle
came too. Then we drove a very long way. Finally we stopped at a place where we stayed for two days.
This place was further than New Plymouth.

the exiting snowday
On the last day of our family holiday we drove to a snow mountain called Whakapapa. There was heaps of icy snow. I was very, very exited to see all the heaps of snow. First when we got to the bottom of the mountian we put on some warm clothes. After that we climed into a special van to take us halfway up the mountain. We then got into another bus with chain wheels to take us up to the top. We had hot chocolate and had a snowball fight.

the assembly
On Friday our class had an Assembly. Our assembly was about Muriwhenua. We all needed to say a part. We needed to do our assembly in the hall to share about our ancestors. Nearly everybody's parents were there. When I said my parts, the people were gazing into my eyes. I was frightened by the amount of people. After the assembly, everyone was clapping. I felt delighted.
